This vintage fish decoy was created in the early 1980's in Minnesota - over 40 years ago. No one was collecting antique fish decoys in the 70's and when the demand took off in the 80's a small group of men in Minnesota created these fish for that market. 99% of them were created in their own whimsical style and then slightly aged. Now, 40+ years later they stand as an important part of Minnesota fish decoy history - if represented properly and not sold as a 80 year old antique. The demand and interest in these continues to grow. This bullhead has a nice size to it and shows it's original distressed surface with some rusting.
