From The Dudley Murphy Collection--- vintage 7" long primitive wood spearing decoy from the Torch Lake Michigan area in natural wood finish---my guess is that this is probably from the 190's/'50's---NO MARKINGS ON THE DECOY---METAL FINS APPEAR HAND CUT---NICE WORKMANSHIP ON THIS FISH---DUDLEY REALLY ENJOYED THE SPEARING DECOYS & THE INDVIDAULITY OF EACH ONE BEING IT'S OWN DIFFERENT WORK OF ART & HAS MANY IN HIS COLLECTION. THIS WOOD SPEARING DECOY IS IN NICE USED CONDITION WITH VERY MINOE WEAR AS PICTURES SHOW & IS GREAT AS A COLLECTIBLE OR READY TO USE!!!! Magazine, an accomplished musician and member of the nationally acclaimed blue grass band "Radio Flyer", and the author of Fishing Lure Collectibles Identification and Value Guide books. Many of the lures in Dudley's collection were pictured in these books and will be offered in these listings.
