Description

Here we have a beautiful hand made, carved wood Red Head Trout, a Mikko Fish. Circa 1980's. This fanciful Trout presents with painted metal fins, a deeply and stylishly carved set of gills, carved mouth and eyes. Painted a white across the belly, which is blended into the sea green as it rises up the sides, ending with a full sea green across the back. A pattern of abstracted dashes and dots in white are rhythmically applied along the sides. As accents, red is painted across the head, tail and fins. 8" long. The Fish is in very good Mikko Style condition, with signs of use or ware, and a patina appropriate to its age. All original and intact. A Beauty.
