~ D24-120 ~ Mike ALLSUP FISH DECOY ~ Spearing • Rod ~ I have enjoyed viewing this decoy for 16 years now, but it is time to down-size. Crafted of solid wood with metal fins, painted eyes and a key embedded as a line tie. It measures 8” long. It is signed with his mark, a red feather on both sides. It is weighted. The original description also included: There is a wire loop poured into the lead underneath and a small hole drilled straight through the nose which probably were meant to attach attracters like spinner blades or even cheater hooks. (I don't know what any of that means). Michael Allsup is from Pine River Minnesota and started making fish decoys in 1998. His decoys have a strong Native American style. He carves from what wood is available. His trademark is a red feather painted on the decoy. (from Decoypedia). The condition is VERY GOOD, PREVIOUSLY OWNED. I believe that this has been used.
