The highlight of this week's sale is part four of an extraordinary estate collection of Chinese jades and artifacts acquired by the former owner during the 1950's. This listing is for a very nice Indian carved stone statue most likely dating to the late 19th century. The statue appears to be carved from alabaster and has a polychrome painted finish. It stands 7" tall and is in very good condition with the exception of wear to the applied painted finish throughout. Provenance: From an important private collection acquired in the 1950's.
