The highlight of this week's sale is part four of an extraordinary estate collection of Chinese jades and artifacts acquired by the former owner during the 1950's. This listing is for a nice carved alabaster statue dating to the late 19th century. The statue depicts an elephant and gazelle and is finished with applied painted finish. It measures about 6" across and is in nice condition overall with the exception of wear to the painted finish. Provenance: From an important private collection acquired in the 1950's.
