This towering group of figures is exquisitely carved and shows incredible skill in anatomical and spatial rendering. Gorgeous bodies and faces, beautiful from every angle. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES: Carved alabaster SIGNATURE: None found PLACE OF ORIGIN: Italy, most likely CONDITION: Three hands have mostly broken-off fingers. Patina of age and environment all over. Scuffs and scratches. DIMENSIONS: 27" high, base about 6 5/8" by 6 3/4" ***This sculpture has an additional base (VERY heavy, gray marble) too heavy to ship alongside the figures, and not in great condition.
