Listed Contemporary, Native American, Indigenous Art Sculptor, Victor Vigil (b. 1957) Signed & Dated, this Stunning Carved Stone Sculpture of a Bear (head, mostly). The sculpture is composed of a lovely Pink, Colorado alabaster. It stands on an oblong wood base, approx. 1 1/2" Tall, 8" Wide and 4 - 4 1/2" Deep. It is signed and dated -1999, along the bottom, on the back. There do not appear to be any blemishes and it is in Very Good Vintage condition. Vigil works from the Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico. Statue measures approx. 9 1/2" Tall (including base), 6" Wide & 3" Deep (not including base). Statue weighs 6 lbs., 13 oz. Please carefully examine all images for condition.
